WHAT IS PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY?

Pediatric dentistry is dental care for children. They have different oral health issues than their parents. This includes the development of baby teeth, the loss of baby teeth, and the care and attention required to guide the development of their adult teeth. Pediatric patients are at a higher risk for cavities because they tend to have ineffective oral health habits. This may include not flossing or not using their toothbrush properly to remove plaque and tartar from their teeth.
